Professional Family based in Portmarnock, Co. Dublin are looking for an Experienced Part Time Nanny to care for their 2 children aged 8 and 6 years, ideally Monday – Friday from 12pm to 6.00 pm. More hours could be given if the candidate would be willing to do some light housework. Also, longer hours will be given during school holidays. Start date is ASAP.
Both parents work full-time but in the current pandemic are working from home. This is not expected to last long-term. Father will be returning to city-based office at least part-time from September / October. Mother will need to intermittently be at the office site in Swords, estimated 1 day per week increasing to 2 days per week depending on infection rates and society rules etc.
The Nanny will be responsible for School drop offs, from 8am until 9am, 2 days a week from January 2022 & collections in the afternoons. Driver is essential with own car or car can be provided by the family.
It will be the Nanny’s responsibility to keep the common area e.g., kitchen / family room & the child’s bedrooms clean and tidy and organized. Nursery duties regarding both children will be to include laundry & ironing and following the children daily routine.
The Nanny will be expected to arrange various interesting development & educational activities, example arts and craft, music and reading. Organizing school, summer holidays and weekly outings to the library, and organizing playdates and going to the park.
Nanny needs to provide and cook healthy & nutritious snacks and meals for the children.
Fluent English is essential to assist with homework for the children. Occasionally babysitting may be required.
The family is looking for a long-term arrangement whereby this person becomes a long-term employee, also extended hours for holiday periods and over the summer. Happy to reach a salary agreement with the individual whereby the earnings are more evenly spread across the year to enable regular earnings that do not fluctuate up and down if nanny would be open to this type of agreement.
The ideal Candidate must be right fit, trustworthy, caring, interactive, fun & energetic and will enjoy working with that family. The Candidate must have qualifications, a minimum of 2 years’ experience, excellent references, up to date First Aid & Garda Vetting.
