JOB DESCRIPTION

Professional Weekend and Evening Nanny required for exciting position based in Birr, Co. Offaly caring for 3 children, aged 9.5, 6 years and a 3rd baby due in December 2023. The 6-year-old has autism and is cared for Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm. Somebody with special needs experience and qualifications would be a bonus. This is an Evenings from 4/5 pm until 8/9pm and weekends position. Start date is November 2023. This position is to work alongside both parents over the weekend and evenings, to give them that bit of flexibility as it is a very busy household. The family will also have a Full Time Nanny Monday to Friday.

It will be the Nanny’s responsibility to assist Parents with the 3 children. Must have experience with newborns.

Nursery duties to include feeding, changing & following all children’s daily routine. Experience with this age group is essential.

The Nanny will be expected to arrange various interesting development & educational activities, example messy play, music & reading. Organizing outings to the library, swimming and going to the park. And spending a fun weekend with the family and the children doing various activities.

Good cooking skills are important to provide healthy & nutritious snacks and meals for the children. Have a knowledge of introducing solids.

Fluent English is essential. Driver is not essential but would be a bonus.

The ideal Candidate must have a genuine interest in the children & become part of their family. The ideal Candidate must be kind, caring, independent, reliable, fun & energetic.

The Candidate must have qualifications a minimum of 2 years’ experience, excellent references, up to date First Aid & Garda Vetting.
