JOB DESCRIPTION
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced maternity nurse. The role would involve looking after a newborn baby in 24 hour block periods 6 days per week, with 3 hour breaks in the afternoon and one day off per week. Our Maternity Nurses Candidates MUST be experienced in the care and nurturing of newborns and young babies. Duties include giving parents’ advice, feeding, assisting mum while breast feeding or bottle feeding, winding and techniques, changing nappies, bathing when required, sterilising/preparation of feeding equipment, and establishing a sleep routine for the baby. Must have qualification in Midwifery, Paediatric Nursing, Public Health Nursing, or 10 years or more in experience with newborns.
